Terms

The contract with the reader. Short, because a newsroom that hides the till in ten thousand words is not to be trusted.

An account is a Vietnam mobile number and a password of at least eight characters. You are responsible for that phone. Staff of the paper use the desk, not this reader door.

Some stories are open. Some need a registered account. Investigations sit behind a pass or a per-story purchase, in dong, on VietQR. A 24-hour pass ends when it ends. We do not silently renew it. Month and year end on the date shown on your account.

Until the newsroom bank is saved on the desk, a Subscribe click may not print a QR. That is a till that is not open yet, not a charge.

Comments are not live until the desk approves them. We may hold or reject a comment. You grant WD Capital a licence to display what you send. Do not post libel, spam, or anyone else’s private data.

The full text of a gated story is not in the public HTML. Do not scrape, resell, or republish our files. The paper may take a story down. Taken-down copy is not a public archive.

Vietnamese law applies. The desk is in Ho Chi Minh City.
